Scotland Trip - Day 1

Scotland Trip, the worst trip ever. We were so unlucky!! All 4 days were awful to us.

We joined another plan in this trip. They were organisers for the whole journey and schedule.

We departed at 1 o clock in the midnight. Here came the night. After a long 4-hour drive, we finally reached somewhere. What came to my mind was we were no longer in England, judging from the signboards. The places in the signboards look so not English!! I was so excited that moment. We took a break in a petrol station. To our curiousity, we were told that it still took 6 hours to reach Edinburgh!! Huh?!!! After a 4-hour long drive, we still have 6 hours to go!!! I so not believed the guy that moment. When we reached a place, we asked for direction. To our surprise, we reached WALES!!! This was so absurd and crazy!! Wales is in south west of United Kingdom and Scotland is in north. The planner accused that it was the GPS's fault. But to me, they just did not do enough research!! They followed the GPS so blindly and recklessly. We always know the GPS is not reliable all the time. While turning back, I feel like going back to Sheffield that moment.

Supposed, we would reach Edinburgh at 6 o clock in the morning. It turned out that we reached there at 2 o clock in the afternoon. It was really a tiring journey. Our first destination was Glenkinchie, house of Whiskey. I bought the whiskey on my friend's behalf. Overall, the tour was not interesting. All of us were so blurred with the explanation of the staff regarding to making of Whiskey as we do not understand some terms. Funny, he looked upset with our indifference with his explanation.

Calton Hill, our next station. It is really a amazing destination. In there, you will be able to view the whole city of Edinburgh. Basically, Edinburgh is a nice. However, unlike Sheffield, Edinburgh is so dirty and there is rubbish everyway. However, I am kinda agree with my friend's point of view. He pointed that Edinburgh looks like a city of loneliness. Immediately, we headed to Glasgow so that we did not miss the check-in time.
