Bradford
After the visit Warwick Castle, i went to Bradford next day. It was my second time to Bradford. First time visit made me fall for Bradford, no matter its city or countryside. The place I like the most is IIkley, about 1 hour from Bradford city centre. I will always suggest everyone to visit there, although it is far from Bradford city.
Recalling back, friends from QS course and I went together. As we did not do much research, we were lost in our direction and wasted a lot of time. I felt like we were on 'Amazing Race' show at that moment. This time, of course i get a little familiar with the transportation, etc. I did not really get lost. Of course IIkley was my first destination to go as I had missed out many attractions at the first time as time did not allow. The second intention going there second time was to buy sourvenir as I again missed out at the first visit. In this trip, as my friend overslept, it ended up i went to Bradford alone. Oh gosh, no one craze with me in the trip!!
In IIkley, I walked around River Wharfe and the playground, took photos near to the riverbank and watched the local feeding the ducks. It was so relaxing that you cannot find in Malaysia. The environment is so beautiful and full with green. It gave me a feel of stress-less.
Then, i went to hill-climb to another area in IIkley Moor according to the map i bought in the first trip to there. Finding a stone called Swastika Stone was my target. According to the map, it would take 2 and half hours to start until return to IIkley tourist information centre. Without hesitation, i walked and walked. It was tiring although i am used to jogging. I took 2 hours to complete the whole journey eventually. To be honest, i felt scared while walking down from the Hebers Ghyll as I was alone. I did not know who to call for help as my handphone as no more credit. Eventually, i am so proud of myself to have completed this tiring and dangerous journey. It was a little disappointing when i saw this Swastika Stone. Somehow i felt so stupid with myself. What if i will lose my life just to see a stone like that?(Maybe I don't know the story behind the stone.)
Back to Bradford city centre, i took a look to National Media Museum after the visit toPhoto Art Gallery. I felt a suddent enlightment to see what is inside the Musuem. I like especially the Virtual Studio. It sucked that I did not have friend to craze with me that time. However, after the visit to the Musuem, i felt a sudden happiness with my whole trip. ^^
