From Manchester to Liverpool

Going Liverpool is my best trip ever. Planning for 2 weeks, the day finally arrived. After Manchester, we visited to Liverpool directly. I really wish to thank to my friends there who were willing to take their valuable day which was Sunday and supposed to be their resting day. My friend and I stayed in their hostel and the other 5 stayed in somebody’s house. I should count my lucky star. I was provided with sleeping bag as a Swedish housemate of my friend left it behind. I was blessed, seriously. At night, we went to walk around and checked out the environment. It was Saturday night and the streets were full with people who were ready for partying and clubbing. It was so crowded. Funny thing was, a friend of mine was scolded by a man ‘Gay!’. We were so curious on and eventually we found out that he wore MU jersey that time. The power in fancying football club is so strong among the local people here. I was told to be careful with that before that. However, I am not football fan and never spend money in buying any jersey. ^^.

We were brought to take a look in Liverpool One before the Albert Dock and I deeply fell for the environment. I always like sea and intended to study Liverpool John Moore University. To save money, I choose Sheffield Hallam University. Then I was told the fee in LJMU is cheaper and living expense is not as high as I (I should use ‘WE’ actually to represent some of the students in SHU) expect. It was a real regret to me at first. Come to think from another expect, choosing a suitable course is more important than choosing a place to study. We walked around the dock area before we went back to turn in.

In the next morning, we visited St. George’s Hall, Liverpool Cathedral and Victoria Gallery & Museum. Viewing the scenery of Liverpool city in top of Liverpool Cathedral was fascinating. Visiting Victoria Gallery and Museum was even marvelous. It is a good place to visit. Unfortunately, I was too obsessed in fooling around and eventually lost my baby sunglasses in the Museum. A little effect to my mood but it did not spoil my mood in the whole day. At night, I had a long conversation with my friend.

Early morning in 9 o’ clock, we planned to visit Merseyside Maritime Museum without our friends. As it was still closed, we walked around Tate Liverpool to look for souvenirs. All shops were still closed. We managed to do shopping before we went back to Sheffield. However, it was a boring day afterward without the company of those Liverpool friends.

Liverpool is rich in Museum and most importantly there are no entrance fees required. It would be good if we did not have to spend on the visit. However, I would probably spend if the visit is worth my while and I can tell Liverpool is definitely a nice city to visit. I swear I would go to there again, if there is any chance. Going for Ne-Yo’s concert in Liverpool is my coming plan and I hope I can make it. ^^
