From Sheffield to Manchester

Going to Manchester was my biggest regret among all the trips. I am not so sure whether this city is that boring or what. However, I was told that I had followed a wrong travel agency. I have no idea !!

I guess the reason why Manchester trip sucks because we did not plan properly before going for the visit. Maybe the travel urgent should be responsible for telling us what to do in Manchester and interesting places to visit.

Visiting the China Town disappointed me. I thought the town would be marvelous. But in the end… it only gave me dissatisfaction and distasted me in the trip.

As I am not fan of any football team, visiting Manchester United stadium did not get my interest at first. Upon arrival, everyone especially boys cheered. The girls could only say to the boys “Welcome to men’s world”. I found it funny. However, the profession of the stadium tour guide/helper impressed me. We were brought to every corner of the stadium and were explained on every icon about Manchester United. I bought many souvenirs from the stadium and I did not know why. ^^ Buying the Corinthian figurine of Cristiano Ronaldo had me scolded by my friends as Ronaldo left MU. What wrong with these people? ==

Talking about the stadium tour guide, I found out something was not right. At the beginning, we were asked whether we the fans of MU and who are not. I raised my hand and said no, saying Chelsea's supporter ( My elder brother is Chelsea supporter and i am being influenced by that. I don't know who to support but follow my brother. A real stupido I am. ^^). Back to the story, I felt the stadium tour guide gave me cold shoulder. That time i felt like raising my hand was a mistake. I learnt that I must be aware with matters that related to football. It is real dangerous if I make a mistake especially to those appresive one.

After the visit to Manchester, we went to Liverpool directly. To talk about an incident, my friends and I joined the travel agency to visit Manchester. The others came by themselves as they did not intend to visit the Manchester United Fan Club as paying 15pounds covered the entrance to Manchester United stadium and travel. When the time to go back arrived, I asked the organiser, Ah Choy whether we could follow his bus to go to Liverpool. Surprisingly, he promised. My friend made a stupid idea and cheated the orgnaniser that there were people to change bus to Liverpool. I felt so uneasy at the time and felt so not alright. I did not really agree with him that time. I felt that this lie would be revealed somehow. Without hesitation, I dared myself and told him the truth that we lied to him that actually there were only 3 students followed him. The other 4 student came by themselves. Shockingly, he was surprised but he was not angry. On the other hand, he said he could give them a ride anyway. I kept telling my friends that they were lucky and should thank him after the ride. Before coming to the UK, I was told that English like people who are sincere and trustful. Never try to be hero and liar. From this incident, I really learnt a valuable lesson. However, I wasted 5 pounds for buying coach ticket from Manchester to Liverpool.
